Rors founded the town of Behror by establishing one of their biggest forts here in the 2nd century BC. The Roar community comes mainly from small areas in the Indo-Gangetic plains. Pran Sukh Yadav was the man who fought and fully supported Rao Tula Ram against the British in 1857 who also hailed from Behror Tehsil. His descendants include the Lumbardar family of Jay Dayal Yadav of small town Nihalpura.
One of his great-grandsons, Dev Vrat Yadav is an Eminent Lawyer of Rajasthan High Court in Jaipur. Chandra Swami, the controversial ‘tantric’ and spiritual adviser of many politicians also belongs to Behror. The village bantkhani is known for its great soldiers who served India.
