Located 403 kilometres southwest of the Jaipur, Udaipur is one of the most beautiful destinations in Rajasthan. Known as the city of lakes, Udaipur City is located on the bank of Lake Pichola and is home to a number of lakes. Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh and was the capital of Mewar Kingdom. Udaipur offers number os tourist destination which comprises of palaces, forts, lakes, museums , gardens and more. Best Time to Visit Udaipur

Tourists can visit Udaipur throughout the year but the most pleasant time to pay a visit is from mid of September to the end of March. Even in the coldest month of the year, January the days are bright, sunny and warm with maximum temperature around 28.3 °C making it more pleasant to enjoy the scenic beauty of Udaipur.

Udaipur is located in the southern region of Rajasthan and is close to Gujarat. It has an average elevation of 598.00 m . The climate of Udaipur is a tropical one. Being located in the desert lands of Rajasthan, the summer season is tolerably hot, with the average temperature hovering around 38.3° C (max) to 28.8° C (min) while quite pleasant in winters. The summer season runs from Mid-March to June while Monsoons arrive in the month of July. Udaipur weather experiences scanty rainfall during the monsoon season, somewhere around 62 cm, approximately. The winter season prevails from the month of October till the month of March. Humidity, which prevails during monsoons, diminishes at the arrival of winters, making it the best season to visit Udaipur.
