Feel the joy of the king of the jungle at ‘The Elephant Festival 2013’ in this holi at Jaipur. On the festival of colours ‘Holi’, Jaipur Elephant Festival begins with a procession with rows upon rows of elephants groomed to perfection decked with gold and embroidered velvets. They catwalk before an enthralled audience and are followed by camels, horses and Rajasthani folk dancers. The atmosphere is made lively with the sound of the bankiya or the trumpet. Organised every year by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, the Elephant Festival is held at its official venue, Rambagh Polo Ground in Jaipur.
