Teej Festival brings joy and fun into the life of the the people of Jaipur. Famously known as ‘Monsoon festival‘, Teej festival also commemorates the reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is widely popular among married women.Celebrated with full rejoice in Jaipur, Teej Festival 2013 will have spectacular royal procession. Teej procession passes through the streets of Old City with an idol of Goddess of Parvati (Teej Mata).
Starts From- Tripolia Gate (late afternoon)
Passes Through- Tripolia Bazaar and Chhoti Chaupar, Gangauri Bazaar
Ends At- Chaugan Stadium
Teej festival this year will be taking place on 9-10 August 2013.
Along with Teej festival, a Food and Handicraft Fair also being organized in the city of Jaipur.
