History of Karauli

According to the legends, Karauli was established by Raja Bijal Pal who was a Jadon Rajput ruler and who was claimed to be the 88th descendent of Lord Krishna. But officially Karauli was founded by the Yaduvanshi Rajput, Raja Arjun Pal in 1348 AD. In 1818, Karauli was made part of the Rajputana Agency.
