Khimsar is a tiny village located on the highway from Jodhpur to Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is nearly 92 km away from the district headquarter, Nagaur. It is to be noted that the Khimsar village provides a wonderful starting point in order to explore the entire district of Nagaur. It is to be remembered that this particular village lies midway between Bikaner and Jodhpur. This village is known in the tourist map for its magnificent forts, palace and temples in this region. The other major tourist spots in Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Nagaur can be easily explored from this village.

Khimsar village is located in the Thar Desert region at an average elevation of 254 meters. During the summer period the maximum temperature is 42.2 °C and the minimum temperature is 27.3°C. On the other hand during the winter season the maximum temperature is 27.5 °C and the minimum temperature is 9.5 °C. The prevailing climatic condition of Khimsar village is throughout the year is sunny temperature having a good variation in its range. The Humidity of this particular village ranges from 32 to 37 % with a dew point level of 11° to 17°.

During the rainy season, the village of Khimsar gets scattered showers. The winds speed is NW 11-15 km/h. During the summer season, the area is commonly dry and very hot.
