Ajmer city is a small city of Rajasthan where people mostly visit for a religious trip to the famous shrine of the Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. Ajmer is mostly considered a pilgrimage center for the Muslims but the tomb of the Saint is also visited by the people of other religion seeing its spiritual magnificence. Visiting the Shrine (Dargah) of Moinuddin Chishti

This is the prime place of Ajmer Sightseeing and one can enjoy the best views of the dargah while visiting in this pious place and the tourists love this place because it has the tomb of the Saint Moinuddin Chishti and this place has religious significance in the whole country.

This Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, who came to this city from Persia in the year 1192 and died here in 1236. And this shrine was built by the Mughal King Humayun and Akbar used to perform a pilgrimage tour every year from Agra to this place.

The doors of the outwards of the tomb were built by other Mughal Kings.

Having a serene visit of the Ana Sagar Lake

Ana Sagar Lake dates back to 12th century and it was made by blocking River Luni. The lake provides a serene view from the dargah and one can have a nice view of the lake which provides a panoramic view of the Ajmer Rajasthan.

The surrounding view of the lake is magnetic as there are mighty hills and the two gardens are present namely Daulat Bagh and Subash Bagh.

The travelers can go for a nice walking to these gardens as well as the hills can be a nice place for viewing the sunset and the lake also provides boating facilities for its tourists.

Visiting the Royal Forts

There are many royal forts are present in the city which is also prominent Attractions in Ajmer India and one of them is the Akbar’s Palace which is left in ruins as the palace was built in the 1570 and the Mughal king Akbar built it. Some part of the building is left and one can see some nice collection of sculptures, coins, miniature paintings dated back to the 8th century.

Another fort is the Taragarh Fort which was built by the Rajput King and it is quite near from the Adhai Din ka Jhopra which is a mosque adjacent to the fort.

Camel Safari in Pushkar

Hike the Ratnagiri Hill in Pushkar

Tourists can hike the Ratnagiri Hill which is located on the southwest side of the lake. The hike can be done by anyone and is about 1.5 km which on average takes about 2 hours to reach the top. There is a temple located at the top of the hill with the name of Savitri Temple in Pushkar.

It is dedicated to the wife of Lord Brahma. The view from the top is magnificent and the sunsets are just amazing. So if you time you should surely hike the hill.
