Jaisalmer By Train – Jaisalmer Railway Station is an important railway station as it is a railhead in the western railway zone.
It is well connected to Jodhpur and other major cities. From Old Delhi, Delhi-Jaisalmer Express is a direct train to Jaisalmer that departs at 17:30 from Delhi and reaches Jaisalmer at 11:30 next day.

Jaisalmer By Air- Presently there are no airports in Jaisalmer City. Nearest airport is Jodhpur airport about 285 km away from jaisalmer.
Pre-paid taxis are available from the airport to Jaisalmer. A new Airport was planned in 2011 but still, it’s not built and opened yet. If you are traveling by air than Jodhpur Airport is the nearest.
The best way is to get to Jaipur International Airport and than catch either train, bus or private taxi from Jaipur. One can easily reach Jaisalmer from Jaipur.
