Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute (RORI) was established in the year 1954, under the guidance of Purattvacharya Muni Jinavijayaji and maintain the old Rajansthani folk art work and folk literature. It was established in 1954 under guidance of Purattvacharya Muni Jinavijayaji, with a view to amortise and explore, collect, preserve, edit and publish ancient literature of Rajasthan and adjacent areas available in Sanskrit, Prakrit,, Apbhramsa & Hindi-Rajasthani.
The Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute has got a fine art gallery with a large collection of miniature paintings of Rajasthan. It also includes some calligraphy and manuscripts like Samput Phalak and Gandika. The library of this institute has a wide collection of old books and journals.
The Institute (RORI) is located at PWD Road, near Shahid-Smarak at a distance of 3 Kms from Jodhpur Railway Station and 4 Kms from Govt. Bus Stand, Raika-Bagh, Jodhpur as well as from Air Port. Jodhpur is well connected by road, railway and air.
