The Brij Festival or Braj Mahotsav is celebrated in Bharatpur in the month of Feb-March, a few days before Holi, every year in Rajasthan. This Brij festival is dedicated to Lord Krishna. During this festival, people or devotes of Lord Krishna gather at one place and celebrate with a lot of enthusiasm and devotion. The festival is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha and celebrate their pure love.

The main attraction of the Brij Festival is the Rasalila Dance, showing the undying love story of Radha and Krishna. The dancers wear in colorful costumes, and villagers from Bharatpur perform this dance and think of Lord Krishna and his Radha.

The town of Bharatpur gets booming on the evening before and on the Brij festival with the sound of folk songs which fills the air and enthralls people. All the people, men or women, young or old, take part in this Brij Mahotsav and get carried away by the spirited flow.

The entire place is painted in brilliant colors and no one is spared from being splashed with colors. This festival is the main attraction of Bharatpur.

we are very interested in experiencing Bharatpur Holi festival, especially the colors. We are staying in Jaipur (Feb 24 and 25th) and visiting Agra (arriving Feb 26-27th). are the best festivities on the 25th or the 26th? how far are you from Jaipur.
