Achalgarh is a small village which is immensely beautiful and located in the stunning hilly region of Mount Abu in Rajasthan.This village is usually famous for the Achalgarh fort and Achleshwar temple. The fortress Achalgarh is situated at the top of a mountain peak and surrounded by tall coconut trees and with the muddy roads ne can get the glimpse of a postcard scene

Achalgarh Fort

Achalgarh Fort is one of the important and places to visit in Mount Abu and the fort was built in 1452 by Rana Kumbha. The fort is built by large pieces of grey granite as it was reconstructed by Maharana but before it was constructed by Paramara Dynasty. There is also a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is settled in the fort and named as Achaleshwar Shiva Temple.

Dilwara Jain Temple

Dilwara Jain Temples are dated between the11th and 13th century and considered as amongst the best Mount Abu tourist places. The temple is made completely in white marble by Vastapul Tejpal and the architecture is just in a typical Jain Temple design. There are five temples in the Dilwara Jain Temples and all five are dedicated to five tirthankaras respectively.

Dilwara Jain Temple Timings: The Dilwara Jain Temples are open from 6 A.M to Noon for Jain devotees and Noon to 6 P.M. for tourist and No photography is allowed inside the temple complex.

Guru Shikhar

Guru Shikhar is the highest mountain peaks of Mount Abu and considered as one of the favorite places for the trekkers and hikers. This is the highest point of the Aravalli Range. There is a cave which is located on the peak and the cave is also having a temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Beside the temple there is Mt Abu Observatory which is having a wide collection of telescope and astronomy elements.

Nakki Lake
