The Anti Corruption Bureau of Rajasthan is primarily responsible for the detection, investigation and prosecution of cases of corruption among public servants and facilitating Rajasthan govt departments to provide an honest, transparent and clean administration.The Anti Corruption Bureau is established in 1949 in the Rajasthan Police under a Superintendent of Police, in the Crime Branch of the C.I.D. It is responsible for the detection, investigation and prosecution of cases of corruption among public servants and facilitating government departments to provide an honest, transparent and clean administration.
In 1957, a separate Anti-Corruption Branch of the Rajasthan Police was established, headed by the Special Inspector General of Police, under the administrative control of the Department of Home, Government of Rajasthan.
ACB conducts enquiries into complaints of corruption and investigates cases registered under Prevention of Corruption Act. ACB deals with four types of cases viz. Trap Cases, Disproportionate Assets Cases, Embezzlement Cases and Misuse of Office Cases.
